Scaffolding - Blocked Entrance
The scaffolding has gone up! However, as seen in the image to the left, the link door which usually provides disabled access, has been blocked. There is an alternative easy access entrance in place in the meantime.

Roof going up
Progress is coming thick and fast, however, there seems to be a little bit more work work than they expected, but they are hopeful of having the full ceiling and roof out by the end of next week.

There is no roof!
The demolition has continued and work is progressing further.

Progress!
As you can see from above, Nick is looking very happy with the scaffolding in the church, this is because it means that the roof will soon be going on. First the steels have to be put in, and then the roof can go on. Yesterday I watched them taking up what looked like a whole ton of timber and I know that on Friday morning the steel will arrive and then over the weekend they will start working on putting the roof up. It should be up before the end of next week.

Steel supports going in
the steel support columns are going in, there are 4 in total each weighing half a metric tonne! the images show one of the supports being put in place and the others being lifted through into the building.

Roof has began to go up
The roof has started to go on and will be on and insulated by next week, and in exciting news the electrics are beginning to go in. Many of you want to know when it will be completed it may be within a couple of months but we will still need to fit it out after this so please bare with us.
