NEW YEAR: Resolutions failed!

Revd Simon Moore | January 6, 2009

Not sure about you, but making resolutions that are always going to be like climbing the North wall of the Eiger aren’t the best way forward as we begin 2009. Perhaps the real struggle is to do the things that life brings already, our work, our relationships our challenges with a little more grace, patience and kindness. I’m slowly changing and God is wonderfully patient with me, more so than I am with myself. May 2009 be a year where the love of God supremely shown in the sacrifice of Jesus may shine a little more brightly in us all. Mountains are only climbed after the foothills are conquered!

First Post

Revd Simon Moore | December 1, 2008

My first post and the start of an exciting and challenging journey for me and us all. The web site is really impressive and we’d like your comments and contributions to slowly evolve it into something that works and communicates for the whole church. We look forward to reading your contributions. Have a great week with our great God.

Regular readers of the church magazine will have noticed the mission statement words on the inside front cover of the magazine. This has been in place for a number of years, since I’ve been here (Sept2003) no one has ever referred to it in my presence or been able to answer the opening question. There was nothing wrong with the mission statement but brevity was never in its favour. Ideally all of us should be able to begin to remember and express what our mission statement is.
