Children

Cradle Roll

We keep in touch with all Baptism families until the baptised child reaches their third birthday, then it is hoped they will join our Sunday Club activities.  Cards are sent to the child on the anniversary of their Baptism and a Christmas party is held each year for them.  Invitations to any special services are sent to the families.

Parent & Toddler Groups

We have two thriving groups which meet on Wednesday and Friday mornings. This is a facility offered by the Church and both groups are led by Church Members.  We currently have 80 children on the books aged between 3 months and 4 years of age.

Schools

There are three primary schools within the Parish and regular assemblies are taken in all three by the Minister.  We also host a number of visits from school classes who come to the Church to look round and ask questions.

Uniformed Organisations

A Girls Brigade Company and Rainbows, Brownies and Guides are affiliated to the Church and meet in the Church Halls while a further Guide Company and Cub and Scout troop are welcomed at the Parade services.

Sunday Activities for Children and Young People

Crèche (for 0-2s)

There is a supervised crèche with toys in the church lounge. Should you need to stay with your child, the service is relayed to the crèche so you don’t need to miss out.

Sunday Club (for 3-10 yr olds)

The children start off in church for the opening 15 minutes of the service. They then leave for their own activities which include singing, craft work, Bible stories, videos and lots of fun in the following age groups:

Sparklers (for 3-4’s)   All Stars (for 5-7’s)   Trailblazers (for 8-10’s)

Laser (for 11-15’s)

The young people start off in church for the opening 15 minutes of the 10am service. Then they explore who God is through video, discussion, fun and refreshments.

Worship Team

We encourage young people to join our Worship Team. If you sing or play an instrument, why not think about joining the Worship Team yourself?

Holiday Club

About eighty local children take part in the annual Holiday Club at the beginning of the summer holidays and about one hundred and fifty attend the annual Light Party on the 31st October
