NEW YEAR: Resolutions failed!

Revd Simon Moore | January 6, 2009

Not sure about you, but making resolutions that are always going to be like climbing the North wall of the Eiger aren’t the best way forward as we begin 2009. Perhaps the real struggle is to do the things that life brings already, our work, our relationships our challenges with a little more grace, patience and kindness. I’m slowly changing and God is wonderfully patient with me, more so than I am with myself. May 2009 be a year where the love of God supremely shown in the sacrifice of Jesus may shine a little more brightly in us all. Mountains are only climbed after the foothills are conquered!

In Him

Simon

January Prayer Month

Jill Young | January 2, 2009

For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them. Matthew 18:20.

During January 2009 we are having a month of corporate prayer. We have often talked about our church prayer life and discussed ways in which we can improve and develop corporate prayer. On Vision Day the Lord clearly showed us that he wants us to pray together for the needs of our church and local community. We thought that January was the perfect time for us to get started with the potential of all that is to come in the New Year.

During January we are having at least one prayer meeting every day. These will be held at various venues and times and will be led by many different church members. The focus of prayer will be on Panshanger Church, our Ministers, children and youth groups, elders, council, leaders, congregation and our local community.

A prayer diary has been put together detailing all of the various meetings, who is leading them and where they will be held. If you would like further details please email Jill Young

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16
